SLC User Agreement

This Student Leadership Council (the “SLC”, collectively “we”, “our”, “us”) User Agreement applies to your access to and use of this website, emails, and other online products and services provided by the SLC (‘’Services”). By creating an account (“Your Account”), you agree to this User Agreement and Privacy Policy (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to those Terms, please do not use this platform or any services offered by the SLC.
The Terms are in accordance with applicable global privacy laws, such as the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (also known as COPPA) and supports our framework regarding information collected from and about children who use our Services. COPPA supplements and is in addition to the SLC Privacy Policy and should be read alongside the COPPA. If you have questions or concerns about our privacy practices as they relate to information we collect about children, please contact us.
Remember that the SLC is for learning and connecting within the site, but we still need some basic rules. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our services.
1.Consent & Your Access to the SLC Services

Your use of this website signifies your consent to be bound by the User Agreement and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the User Agreement or the Privacy Policy, you will not have access to the SLC services or be able to send any information to us.
We encourage families to communicate about household guidelines to help one another understand what behaviors online are appropriate.
Your Access to the SLC Services
No one under the age of 13 is allowed to use or access the services. We may offer additional services that require a parent to log in and accompany your use of the site and its services, so please read all notices and any additional terms carefully when accessing the SLC services.

3.User Restrictions & What you can Share and Do on the SLC Site
We want people to use the SLC site to learn, share, express themselves, post content that is important to them, and engage with other students and staff. To create a safe and respectful environment to allow such a platform, we will not risk the expense of the safety and well-being of others or the integrity of our community. You are expected to not take part of, facilitate, support, or initiate in the actions and behaviors described below:

As a growing community, we are always improving our services and reserve the right to add or remove attributes and functions throughout the site without prior notification. We will do our best to notify you in advance, but that may not be possible all of the time. The SLC reserves the right to make partial or minor changes to the site as necessary at any time, with or without notice to you. Any future release, update, or addition to the site’s operation of services will be subject to these Terms and will be referred to on your own accord to stay up-to-date with its Terms as necessary.
Your SLC Account
To utilize the features associated with our site and its services, you may be required to create an SLC account to which you will need to provide us with a username, password, and other information about yourself as described in our Privacy Policy.
Account Security
You are solely accountable for the information associated with your SLC account and any activity that transpires on that account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and to notify the SLC if you discover questionable activity regarding your account without your permission.
Age Restrictions
Upon creating your account, you represent and warrant that you are 13 years old or older. If you do not agree to these terms or are younger than 13 years old, do not use this website.
You will not transfer, sell, or license your SLC account without prior written approval.
SLC services may contain information, text, links, images, videos, visual presentations, or other technological content by you through your account. We take no responsibility in the accuracy, credibility, or endorsement of anything pertaining to your content.
By submitting your content anywhere on the SLC site, to include engagement with staff and other SLC users, you acknowledge that submissions under your account are by you via Your Account. You are responsible for your account and its activities that occur under it.
SLC Services may contain content from third-party websites that may be posted by our advertisers, partners, or affiliates (“Third-Party Content”). We are not responsible for Third-Party Content, including their websites, products, and services. Your utilization of Third-Party Content in any way is your responsibility.
Advertisements from Third-Party Content may be present within the SLC website and SLC Services.
7.Forbidden Actions
When engaging and accessing the SLC site, you agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable rules, laws, and regulations. In addition to what is prohibited in the Privacy Policy, you may not do any of the following:

8.Reporting & Removals
SLC respects intellectual property and other proprietary rights of others, and the users of our Services do the same. Our policy incorporates the removal of any inappropriate content that is infringing, unlawful, demeaning, racist, and the like which can lead to site access removal and termination from the SLC. If you believe that any content on our Services violates a copyright or trademark that you own or control, you may contact us and report your concern at [email protected].
9.Changes to these Terms
From time to time, we may revise these Terms. SLC reserves the right to change any part of the Terms at any time without notice. If any changes are made, we will update the Updated Date above and post the changes made. By continuing to utilize and access your SLC account, you agree to abide by the revised Terms. If you disagree with the revised Terms, you must terminate your access and use of SLC services before the effective date.
10.Termination
You may terminate these Terms at any time for any reason by deleting your SLC account and cease the use of all SLC Services.
11.Miscellaneous
These Terms are an agreement between you and the SLC regarding your access and use to our Services.
